Welcome to Salon Booking

This guide shows salon owners and their team how to run day-to-day work in Salon Booking — taking bookings, managing your calendar, handling payments, and keeping your services, staff and customers organised.

It's written for the people behind the counter, not for developers. Every chapter is task-focused: what you want to do, the exact steps, and what you'll see on screen.

What Salon Booking is

Salon Booking brings your online bookings, point-of-sale, and team management together in one place. You can run your whole salon from a computer or from your phone, and your customers can book you online around the clock.

There are three parts to the system:

  • The admin area (in a web browser) — your full control panel: calendar, services, team, reports and settings. Best on a computer, but works on a phone too.
  • The mobile app (for owners and staff) — your salon in your pocket: today's calendar, take payments, check customers in with a QR code, and let staff pick up walk-ins.
  • Your public booking page — the page your customers use to book appointments themselves.

Who does what

  • Owners set the salon up and manage everything — services, prices, team, schedules, payments and reports.
  • Staff focus on daily work — their calendar, checking customers in, taking payments, picking up jobs and requesting time off. They see a simpler view; owner-only areas stay hidden.

There's a separate chapter for staff that covers exactly what a team member can see and do.
